I dropped my laptop the other day and ever since it seems to get extremely hot and completely switches off instantly. I assume it may be the fan or connection cable in the fan coming loose. Is this something I could fix myself by unscrewing the back or would it have to be done by a pro?
I don't mind paying someone but the laptop repair shop charged my brother £60 to fix something on his laptop and when he got it back it was a lot worse, they charged him more to fix it the second time round. How much would it usually cost someone to fix a problem like this?
Incase the dropping of the laptop is just a coincidence, could it be software related?
